My teenage son Brayden. So so so GRATEFUL for him.
Brayden is my first born. He is 14...he will be 15 in March already! Driving permit! Scary! I can't believe how quickly time has gone by...I know that is so cliche...but so very true. Brayden holds a very special place in my heart. We started out together just the two of us and he was my little angel helping me to grow and get through hard times. He was my motivation to finish college...and I did! From the moment I saw him following his birth (and I know I have said this before) I just knew he was a old soul. He really is. On so many levels he is much much wiser than me. He is a tender-heart. He is sensitive and very loving. He is so amazing with litte children and they adore him...well unless they are six and have the name Ethan :) That is another story altogether. Ethan is a challenge for us right now.
We struggle a lot with Brayden's ADHD and the issues that come with it...lack of focus...being super forgetful and in his case, extremely moody. He is smart, but his grades don't reflect that and it is frustrating for me and I know for him. We will figure it out. We just need to keep trying and working hard. I know that Brayden is going to do great things in his life. He is loved by so many people.
Brayden wants to join the military. That is one thing that he is uber-focused on right now! Just ask him...he can tell you pretty much anything you want to know about it He is obsessed about it really! I can't decide if that is a good or a bad thing. That is just me being selfish though. I support Brayden in whatever ambition he chooses. If we can get through school and get him feeling confident in his skills, talents and grades it will be his first major battle conquered.
My wish for Brayden is that he will remain a hopeful, caring and loving soul. That he will always be honest in his dealings at work and at home. That he will be a good husband and father one day. I think the girl he ends up marrying will be so lucky to have Brayden as her husband. I pray that he will make his family his first priority always.
I love you Brayden. I am so grateful that you are my son.
