Day 2: 30 Days of Gratitude Images

 

Today I am so very grateful for my job at Making Memories. 

I am so grateful to work in this creative industry and be creative everyday (well almost everyday - sometimes its spreadsheets and costing and other fun stuff...but lucky for me - I enjoy that part of it too!)

I have been with MM for almost 8 years already! It's hard to believe that I have been making that 70 min commute for this long.  Wow.  Much of the reason I am still here is because MM is flexible with me and I am able to work 3 days in the office and 2 at home.  It's not always easy...I work hard and often - pretty much 24/7 it seems.  You would know this by looking at the mess of work projects and product taking over my house.

Times are challenging....in the industry and in general. This economy blows!  There have been some rough days at MM over the years and at times I wondered if I would make it through.  But here I am and I am grateful and so fortunate to do what I love.

30 Days of Daily Gratitude Images

My Brave Girl sister Kolleen had such a beautiful idea for doing 30 days of gratitude images starting today! I love this idea and am going to do my best to make it a priority to blog or at least facebook my image everyday.  I have so much to be grateful for. I do have a gratitude journal that I write in occasionally....but not as often as I should. Time to re-commit to that goal.  I think along with this photo a day idea, I will create a gratitude album...just something simple with the hopes that I will actually keep up on it through the month.  I always have such big creative plans and never enough time to see them through. Maybe this one will make it?  We shall see.

So for today, November 1st, the first day of the month.....this is what I am particularly grateful for today:

 
My little doll Sophie Emily.

I am home with her today and I just love being her mother.  I am so beyond grateful for her. There really aren't even words to justly express my gratitude.

She didn't make it here without alot of struggle, suffering, lots of tears and also prayer.  God really does answer our prayers even if the answers and blessings don't come under the best of circumstances or when the timing doesn't quite seem right.

He patched up a HUGE hole in my heart that was carved out so abrubtly several years ago. He made it up to me by giving me HER.
