It was a good Easter Sunday. I have always loved Easter and all of the traditions our family has - although this year, we did not get to roll eggs down USU old main hill...something I have done since I was a little girl. Too much snow this year! It was a bummer for the kids...but a good day nonetheless. It was eggs-tra (haha) special this year because we have Sophie. One of the things I always remember about Easter is my Easter dress that usually my mom made for me. I can still smell the new fabric and the feeling of being so pretty on Easter. I want my Sophie to have the same memories. Although I really probably didn't have time to make her dress, I decided on Friday night that I was going to do it no matter what...and I did it! I am so proud of myself! I am certainly not the seamstress (or even close) that my mother is...but lucky for me she taught me just enough and she lives next door to come over at 10 pm on Saturday night to show me how to do a button hole! I really love how Sophie's dress turned out...purple is not my favorite color, but I love this shade of purple and Sophie looks especially darling in purple with her strawberry blonde hair!
The Easter Bunny left the kids some fun goodies and was even brave enough to hide the eggs outside in the cold snow! Brayden (being the awesome 14 year old that he is) wasn't to keen on the festivities but I think he was secretly excited about is Easter loot and also hunting for eggs! Funny thing...he doesn't like his picture taken much these days...so sorry for the sour faces!
After hunting eggs we went up to my Uncle Johnny's for Brunch. The best food ever! Egg bake, scones, fresh fruit...so delicious! I just love my family and am so grateful for every single person and for the blessings they bring to all our lives. We are so fortunate to still have my grandparents John and Jackie with us. I wish I would have gotten a picture of them. I usually do when we are all together. I think my sister did...I will have to get one from her..

looks like everyone had a fun day! super cute pics. can't believe how big the kids are getting, especially sophie! love the dress

I just resent your invite, so let me know if you don't get it again.
Sophie's dress is so beautiful! You are amazingly talented! Sounds like a wonderful Easter.
